Fota Wildlife Park

There is no shortage of things to do and see at Fota Wildlife Park for the family. As well as the amazing range of exotic animals in the park, such as Lions, Giraffes and Kangaroos, Fota hosts a variety of events throughout the year. For some real excitement make sure you see the speed of the Cheetahs when they feed in daily the Cheetah Run exhibition. For more information click here.

Blackrock Castle Observatory

Dating back to 1582, the Blackrock Castle is an iconic landmark in Cork. The observatory holds interactive exhibitions and activities for the whole family. From exploring space and aliens to Cork’s battles and maritime history there is something for everyone. They also have a great café on site, serving delicious food all day. Model Railway Village

The Model Railway Village in Clonakilty, West Cork, provides great entertainment for a family day out. As you enter the village, you step back in time to the 1940s and see how the old railway line used to be through handcrafted miniature models and figurines.  You can also take a tour around the town of Clonakilty in their Choo Choo Road Train. Ballyhass Lakes Adventure Centre

If you like the outdoors then this one is for you. Ballyhass Lakes Adventure Centre has something for everyone, from wakeboarding to fishing, rock climbing to kayaking, and much more. They also have holiday homes, so you can stay and have as much fun as you like. For more, please click here.

Rumley’s Open Farm

Rumley’s boasts an impressive range of both farm and exotic animals for the whole family to see including alpacas, goats, pigs and camels. In addition to seeing the animals you can also feed and them. Rumpley’s also has a number of exciting activities such as zip wire, go karts and mini golf, so you won’t be short of things to do here.
