My name is Denise and I work in the Ladies Fashion section here in Blarney Woollen Mills.
Tell us about your time here at Blarney Woollen Mills.
I started working here in 1999. When I first started off, I worked in the Men’s Fashion department. After 4 years I moved to the Ladies Fashion section and I’ve been there ever since. I love working in this section because I have a big interest in fashion and clothing.
What kind of people do you come across here?
In the Ladies Fashion section, we get a lot of local customers who come in regularly. I enjoy dealing with these customers because we have really gotten to know each other well over the years. That means that we know their style and we can find specific pieces that suit them.
We also get some tourists here and there, but the majority of our foot traffic comes from Irish people.
What do you like most about working at Blarney Woollen Mills?
I really enjoy the social aspect of the job. I have great relationships with the people I work with. I also love meeting all the different customers who come in through our doors. I love the fact that we know a lot of them personally and that they ask specifically for us because they know that we know what they like.
